Stephen Spiller takes the win at the Lower Providence Spring Classic
Stephen “Rocket Man” Spiller of the Montclair Bikery Colavita Development Team took the field sprint and the Cat. 3 win at the Lower Providence Spring Classic in Pennsylvania. Stephen, a high school senior who is not yet 18, has been honing his sprint on the Valley Preferred Cycling Center’s Velodrome for some years. It was a hard fought battle but the Category 3 field was no match for Stephens signature rocket finish.

Turkey Ride Donates Over 250 Birds
The Montclair Bikery’s second annual ‘Turkey Ride” netted over 250 frozen turkeys to benefit The Human Needs Pantry of Montclair. The 20 mile route included a stop at the Brookdale ShopRite in Bloomfield where cyclists could purchase a 10 to 14 pound turkey and donate it to the Pantry. ShopRite generously discount the turkeys by 10% for all Turkey Riders. About 150 cyclists participated in the ride and many purchased two or more birds for the cause.

Grasshopper Mountain Bike Race
Young racers Luke Charkow (age 8) and Jesse Charkow (age 6), each came in 3rd in their respective age groups (K-1 and 2-3) at the Annual Grasshopper Mountain bike race held this past Saturday 08/16 in Verona. Both boys placed on bikes purchased from the Monclair Bikery. Congrats Guys!
Grasshopper Mountain Bike Race - And Mount Washington Auto Road Race
A big shout out to (L-R) Michael Wiatrak, Andy Dunberg, and Nick Salvatore. Each completed (08/17) the Mt Washington Auto Road Bicycle hill climb. A grueling 4700 vertical foot climb over 7 miles with grades averaging 12% and topping out at 22%.

Javier wins at Cherry Blossom

ongratulations to our teammate and co-worker Javier. He won the cat 3/4 race at the Cherry Blossom on April 5. He did it with style, in a break away and a three man sprint finish. Big shout out out to all the guys on our team who worked really hard to put Javier in a good position to get into the break.
